The Business Model Canvas is a visual tool to depict the key characteristics of a business. The components include: the partners, activities, resources, value proposition of the business, customer relationships and segments, channels to distribute the product, and cost structure and revenue streams. The canvas provides a framework for researchers to organize thoughts about a potential business.
